PROTECTING THE PRIVACY OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

At Canada Care Medical, your privacy is important to us. Our business practices related to how we handle personal information are governed, in addition to our concern for your privacy, by 2 pieces of legislation-the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), and provincially by the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA), 2004.

We take the following steps to ensure all information you provide, as well as information such as your purchase history, is kept accurate and confidential;

1. We do not sell or provide our customer informations or lists to our suppliers or other parties.

2. We do not release any information to any third parties unless required by law or unless written permission is obtained.

3. Access to our invoicing system is restricted by password. Any documents generated by our invoicing or accounting systems are stored in a secure location with controlled access.  When these documents are disposed of, they are shredded to ensure your privacy.

4. You are entitled to see and correct the data we maintain in our secure invoicing system. Should you want to see this information, please submit your written request to our Privacy  Officer. On presentation of appropriate identification, we will show you the details maintained.

If we have your permission, we may on occasion contact you by mail, phone or e-mail to provide information on upcoming events, new products that may be of use to you, or simply to see if we have provided a level of service that meets your expectations. Should you not want to be contacted, at any time you may let our staff know and that will be noted on your file.
